Using the logic applied to Caster Semenya by the IAAF, we have a unique opportunity to finally level the playing field in all sports. Why should someone born taller than me have an edge in basketball? It’s not my fault I don’t have the genes to be 250 pounds of muscle to play football. Why should anyone be allowed to exploit that advantage. It’s not fair!!!
It’s very dangerous to ignore the little rituals that go along with running. The most powerful is the halfway touch on out and back runs. If you don’t touch something real before you turn around to head back, terrible things will happen to you. Don’t risk it!
I came in first! I won! I can’t believe it! I didn’t even train and this is my first 5k ever! I guess I’m just naturally great… oh.
Forgot about a race you signed up for months ago? Training didn’t go well? Fortunately a lot of races let you drop down to a shorter distance on race day. Was your training a complete loss? Then opt for the family fun run. It’s a finished race but no time record!!!! Saved!
I admit it. It’s silly, but it is spring and runners often go a little bonkers when they suddenly don’t have to wear more than one layer.
Races are supposed to be both fun and challenging but there’s always that person who manages to find something wrong. I always feel sorry for the Race Directors.
When it becomes too warm for the winter snow to stick around, it has to go somewhere. The damn stuff doesn’t just evaporate.
